Hank Aaron Registration Procedures
Welcome back to the 2025 - 2026 school year at Henry Louis "Hank" Aaron New Beginnings Academy!
On August 1, 2025, classes will begin promptly at 9:00 AM and dismiss at 4:00 PM. The APS school bus pick-up and drop-off location have also changed. Students will not be picked up in the bus lane; instead, the APS school bus will board students at the Lakewood Marta Train Station. Students will be picked up on Murphy Street where the apartments are located. School buses will depart from Murphy Street between 8:35 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. in 10-minute increments. Car riders may be dropped off on campus as early as 8:50 AM. We are looking forward to a great year, and if you have questions, feel free to contact your HLHANBA staff at (404) 802-6950.
Enrollment/Registration Times
Tuesday 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
(You must arrive/check in by 12:00 p.m.)
Wednesday 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
(You must arrive/check in by 3:15 p.m.)
Please bring the following:
Current Atlanta Public School Students
· Student (Your student must be present during enrollment)
· Current Georgia Power Bill AND
· Current Lease
· Parent ID
· STUDENT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENROLL WITHOUT CURRENT IMMUNIZATION
ALL Non-Atlanta Public School Students
Student must be present with Parent
● Withdrawal papers from the former school
(Only Non-APS student enrollment)
● Birth Certificate
● Social Security Card
● Immunization
● Proof of Residency
● Lease, Georgia Power Bill, and Parent ID
